Baby Classes

Otter Baby I
Otter Baby I (6 months to 18 months) These classes build swimming readiness by emphasizing fun in the water with songs, games and colorful equipment. Parents and children participate in guided sessions that help children learn elementary skills, including water orientation and entry, floating skills, breath control, gentle underwater submersion, opening eyes under water, picking up objects on bottom, front kicking, and more. Each child is accompanied by an adult in the pool.

Otter Baby II
(19 months to 36 months) Otter Baby II is for beginning toddlers between 19 to 36 months and their parent. Continuing to use songs and games, we teach the parent how to correctly hold their toddler to promote relaxed and comfortable movements through the water. Overcoming fear of the water, gaining breath control and relaxed gliding are the main goals. Additional skills include floating and climbing out to the pool. s between 6 and 35 months will learn eight to ten second under water breath control.
