Blazing Barracudas

Blazing Barracudas transition the unilateral side breathing learned in the Dashing Dolphin level into the traditional freestyle stroke, which is bilateral side breathing to both sides. In addition to refining freestyle technique, our teachers continue to build the endurance of their students. Also, the elementary backstroke is taught from start to finish in this level. This stroke is a safety stroke rather than a competitive stroke, but is essential if ever faced with an open water situation.

• Prerequisite: Swimming 30 feet with several unilateral side breaths, back kicks 25 feet
• Final Goal: Bilateral breathing freestyle 60 feet, bent arm recovery, streamline into freestyle, elementary backstroke 40 feet

Blazing Barracudas Class Schedule

Tuition is $68 a month for a half hour class once per week. If you want to attend 2 classes per week the tuition is $131 a month. We also offer sibling discounts. The first child is $68 per month and each additional child is $63 per month. There is a $35 annual registration fee per family. We ask for a 2 month commitment for a new family and after that you may withdraw with a 30 day written notice. No spaces are guaranteed until you register online and receive an email confirming that you have enrolled in a class, or you enroll at the swim school in-person. We do not have ‘sessions’, so classes are on-going and you may start your child’s classes at any time that we have an opening that fits your schedule.

If you see a class below that has no openings, (shows a full in the “Openings” column below) we will be happy to add you to a wait list for that particular class. Simply click on the words “Wait List” at the far left of the listing and you can be automatically added to that class wait list. If nothing appears there, the class AND the wait list are full.
