Mighty Makos

The Mighty Mako class extends the swim distance to laps of the entire length of the pool (75 feet). Freestyle endurance is built as students learn to maintain their stroke technique as the tire.

The breaststroke is taught from start to finish in this level. In addition to stroke technique, freestyle and breaststroke starts and turns and speed techniques are introduced.

• Prerequisite: Swimming freestyle with bilateral breathing and bent arm recovery 60 feet & elementary backstroke 40 feet
• Final Goal: Several laps of rhythmic breathing freestyle with refined technique, mastery of breaststroke including the whip kick, arms, and timing

Mighty Makos Class Schedule

Tuition is $68 a month for a half hour class once per week. If you want to attend 2 classes per week the tuition is $131 a month. We also offer sibling discounts. The first child is $68 per month and each additional child is $63 per month. There is a $35 annual registration fee per family. We ask for a 2 month commitment for a new family and after that you may withdraw with a 30 day written notice. No spaces are guaranteed until you register online and receive an email confirming that you have enrolled in a class, or you enroll at the swim school in-person. We do not have ‘sessions’, so classes are on-going and you may start your child’s classes at any time that we have an opening that fits your schedule.

If you see a class below that has no openings, (shows a full in the “Openings” column below) we will be happy to add you to a wait list for that particular class. Simply click on the words “Wait List” at the far left of the listing and you can be automatically added to that class wait list. If nothing appears there, the class AND the wait list are full.
