Speedy Stingrays

This class introduces the two remaining strokes into our curriculum, backstroke and butterfly. Though back kicks have been introduced in previous levels, backstroke arms are taught and butterfly is taught from start to finish.

Stroke technique and endurance is emphasized as the students begin medley swims involving all four strokes. Though freestyle and breaststroke have been taught in previous levels, those strokes are still practiced within this level.

• Prerequisite: 2 laps of rhythmic breathing freestyle and 1 lap of breaststroke
• Final Goals: Swim competitive backstroke and butterfly 80 feet

Speedy Stingrays Class Schedule

Tuition is $68 a month for a half hour class once per week. If you want to attend 2 classes per week the tuition is $131 a month. We also offer sibling discounts. The first child is $68 per month and each additional child is $63 per month. There is a $35 annual registration fee per family. We ask for a 2 month commitment for a new family and after that you may withdraw with a 30 day written notice. No spaces are guaranteed until you register online and receive an email confirming that you have enrolled in a class, or you enroll at the swim school in-person. We do not have ‘sessions’, so classes are on-going and you may start your child’s classes at any time that we have an opening that fits your schedule.

If you see a class below that has no openings, (shows full in the “Openings” column below) we will be happy to add you to a wait list for that particular class. Simply click on the words “Wait List” at the far left of the listing and you can be automatically added to that class wait list. If nothing appears there, the class AND the wait list are full.
